How to reach Kothaligard Fort
The journey started quite early in the morning, Mridul and his friends reached Sion and there, a bus was waiting for them to start the journey with other trekkers. We can also go there by railways ; it's close to 100kms from Mumbai as well as Pune.
Nearby Restaurants
Once they reach Peth village, which serves as the basecamp, they find stalls and restaurants set up by the locals for tea and breakfast. You can find many small setups to fill yourself and get ready for the trek.
Budget:
The budget for this weekend treks is reasonable between Rs.1200 to Rs.1500 which includes breakfast and lunch.
Places to Explore at Kothaligad Fort:
Once you reach, you'll see a unique Thumb structure of the fort which is amusing and has a resemblance to Karnala Fort.
Fewer forts have artillery preserved from their era and you can find well-preserved Cannons in the Kothaligad Fort.
